Where is the wedding venue?

Our wedding will be held at a beach side restaurant called BAWUD and it is located in Mati, Davao Oriental, Philippines. Fun Fact: BAWUD means ocean wave in Bisaya(a dialect spoken in the region)

What to wear?

Our wedding colors are whites, shades of green and bronze/brown; we request female guests to wear SHADES OF NUDE that are ANKLE/MAXI/FLOOR length and Barong Tagalog for the male guests.(A Barong is the national suit for men in the Philippines; it is the counterpart of a tux) Please contact the groom on how to acquire a Barong. You will for sure need a passport. If you don't have one, please apply through your local post office. The process is easy but it takes months to get it. US citizens don't need a visa to get in the Philippines if you stay for 30 days only.

What to bring for my Philippine trip?

-Sunglasses -Mosquito Repellant -Sunblock -Swimwear -Beach shoes/water shoes -Hiking gear(Trekking shoes) -Rubber slippers -Hat/Cap -Emergency meds(example: allergy and LBM). -Water bottle(it's very hot there! and also for traveling convenience; we recommend insulated ones to retain coldness) -neck pillow is a must! -Light jacket(for travel, air conditioned accommodation and for colder nights) Philippines is a tropical country so please bring summer clothing.

Where are we staying?

All guests will be provided accommodations set up by us :-)

How do I get back to the airport in time for my flight back?

We will provide a van and a trustworthy driver to take you to the airport in Davao City. Please let us know your flight details(on May 9th or 10th) so we can coordinate this with the van driver.

What is the currency in the Philippines?

Pesos is the currency in the Philippines. You can exchange your USD at any currency exchange at the airport in the Philippines. Most large vendors accept visa and master cards but please do inform your banks that you will be traveling overseas. The current peso to dollar exchange rate is $1 = 58 Php. Also, all airports for layover accept visa and mastercards so no need to bring cash and do currency exchange.
